Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and welfare of our pupils. We take rigorous steps to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm, teaching safeguarding through the curriculum.

Safeguarding is defined as:

  • protecting children from maltreatment
  • preventing impairment of children’s health and development
  • ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and
  • taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.

We work closely with parents / carers and a range of professional external agencies in order to secure this.

Our Safeguarding contacts are :-

  •   Mrs Amy Wake - Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  •   Mrs Rachel Pilley - Deputy Headteacher & SENDco and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
  •   Mrs Rachel Baker, Family Support Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
  •   Mr Matthew Butcher, HLTA and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
